A Nod to Our Racing Heritage

We’re constantly thinking up new ways to spread the joy and freedom of mobility, but we know the future of Honda remains forever linked with our inspirational history.

That’s why the 2&4 was designed to evoke one of our most iconic racecars ever: our Formula 1 RA72 from 1965 (which just happens to be the year we won our first Grand Prix race).

Climb into the seat of the Honda Project 2&4 vehicle and the first thing you’ll notice is that you’re practically hugging the ground.

But the real fun starts right when the engine does…

As the winning concept from our internal Global Design Competition, this serious beast of a roadster was dreamed up by a group of our engineers. When we saw how it was universally greeted with excitement from our associates, it was easy to give the team a green light to go make it real.

Embodying the Honda concept of creative craftsmanship, Honda 2&4 combines the open and engaging feel of a motorcycle and the dynamic handling capabilities of an automobile.

Best of Both Worlds

With a slightly modified engine from our powerful RC213V racing motorcycle and the body of an open racecar, there’s nothing quite like the 2&4. It gives the driver the freedom of the world’s top motorcycle engine combined with the experience and handling of a low-to-the ground racecar.

Its ultra-lightweight frame is designed for the streets — with an engine capable of delivering race-bred horsepower.

The exhilarating feeling created from the open cockpit is significantly enhanced by the driver's seat, uniquely suspended just above the road. The 'floating seat' design places the driver as close to the action as possible…
